There are many ways to use promotional items, in my opinion the two most used methods are a goodwill gesture or as a reminder to the recipient. Many times your customers will place business and there is no better way to say thank you than with a promotional item. It shows appreciation of their business and most importantly lets them know you care and that they are important. The other advantage is the second major use and that is that you are constantly with your customer as a reminder whether it be a pen, a clock, a mug, a mousemat or even the latest desk item, an auto opening calculator. It is the giving that counts. Items should always be personalised either with screen print or laser engraving. This is particularly important if you are creating awareness of your brand or company. One tip is to always put some contact details on whether it is your phone number or website as you never know whose hands your gift will end up in.
