With just a few hours left of this year, its time to reflect on three of the
promotional items that we've found to be high sellers this year. This may give you a little insight into what people found worked for them as you plan your strategy for next year.
Promotional Globe Jigsaw Puzzle
This item proved a huge hit as an executive gift, and resulted in a few blog entries as a result. Feedback was that the item was found to be a fun alternative to standard paperweights, and a lot of the samples we sent out came back with the jigsaw clearly taken apart and put back together again. The base can be printed with your logo or message.
As the number of people using computers has risen so have the sales of USB. They make it easy to take data between computers, to send to someone filled with files too big for email, or to use in your own offices. The USB can be printed on up to two sides, in a variety of print specifications.
The promotional pen has always been a big seller, and this Rio pen has been one of our biggest this year - perhaps because of its low price starting at 11p per pen. The Rio can come with a blue, red or black trim, and be printed with up to full colour on the barrell. Feedback on this pen was that it made an ideal giveaway at events.
So there you go, three items that had great success this year for some of our clients. Hopefully that will give you an idea of what items you can use for the coming year, and you can always keep an eye on this blog for further ideas.

Christmas is over, so you're probably by now back to thinking about which

Promotional items may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of marketing. A lot of companies prefer to look at options like TV advertising when they consider their marketing strategies as they are considered much flashier and more likely to be successful. However a recent study by American company
ASI has shown that
promotional products prove to be the most cost-effective advertising medium. Results show that 84% of people remembered a supplier based upon a promotional product they recieved, and 42% of people saw that company favourably based upon the product. Items were kept for on average 7 months, with bags proving to be one of the most effective items, with over 1000 views per month. Considering the cost of a 7 month TV campaign would be astronomical, you can really see why
promotional products are so cost effective.

The problem with a lot of people is that they don't completely think through their ideas for which
promotional products they will buy. Often it comes down to something they believe is a good idea, rather than thinking of their clients. The problem with this is that you aren't putting yourself outside the box, not thinking about why you are using the item. As a result you get them purchasing large flashier items rather than a simpler item that may suit and promote them a lot better. For example, some may dismiss an item like our
promotional air fresheners because they are very simple and cheap. This is silly, because this item makes an ideal giveaway, either as part of a goody bag or as part of a simple mailer. The majority of people these days drive to work, and if they hang your
printed air freshener in there it will not only promote to them every time they drive home or to work, but any time in their social life they give someone a lift, or take a client out. Meanwhile the item you chose which they don't like may stay in its box, or be used sparingly and not promote. Be sure to choose your promotional item carefully, and don't dismiss some items straight away.

We have a
