A promotional item is anything that is used for promotional campaigning that features your company name, logo or slogan. The most well known and recognised promotional products are pens, clothing, mugs and mousemats. Items are usually given away, but in some cases companies actually sell on these products to their clients or supporters. A good example of this is Barack Obama, who used a whole host of promotional items in his campaign, which were also sold on his website to his supporters to help his campaign funding. Charities also use promotional items to increase their funding, such as the highly popular coloured wristbands that a variety of charities, including Breast Cancer Research, and Lance Armstrongs Livestrong charities. Promotional items can be used not just to promote yourself, but allow people to show their support for you.
