Promotional Items arent always giveaways

One of the interesting things about promotional items is that they are not always giveaways. In fact, in some ways people go out of their way to purchase promotional items due to the desirability of them. For instance, people will often purchase clothing based on the brand make, and in some cases are even happy to have the brands name emblazoned across their chest. Only a few years ago you couldn't walk down the street without seeing people wearing "FCUK" sweatshirts and tops. In this case the brand has been built so much through their marketing that people want to become walking billboards as they feel it elevates them to a higher social standing. Of course, not every company can do this - you cant imagine people dying to get their hands on a sweater with "Pound Shop" written on the front of it, but where your brand has a high appeal it can result in new sales opportunities. This can also be good of raising money for charities, putting your logo on a small promotional product and selling it on in order to make a profit gives your supporters a reward and further incentive to donate.
